I left brake lamp just went out on my 99 accord and I was wondering how to replace it myself so I don't have to take it in and be charged for it.

open the trunk, there is a removable panel near the tail light. determine witch bulb isnt working. turn the bulbs mount to the left, pop out bulb, put in new one, its best to avoid touching the new bulb with fingers.

The bulb access is right behind the trunk liner carefully remove the plastic tab on that side near the trunk opening and pull back the trunk liner and this will give you access to the back side of the light, the bulb holders are like a 1/4 to take them out. The bulb type is a wedge bulb which is a simple pull out and then push back in. Carefully replace the trunk liner, the gasket around the trunk opening should go over the edge of the trunk liner use other side as an example.Do it once and you will get the hang of it, its pretty easy.Good luck!
