this can usually be done by adding some fuel injection cleaner to the gas tank ,it will keep the injectors good and clean, the the rest of it is just cleaning off the out side of it once in a while, which doesn't have to be done that often, the injector cleaner is the main part of it,make sure you add this at least once a month,it will help keep it running good and clean, good luck with it.

You will know if the throttle body needs to be cleaned if your gas pedal feels like it sticks sometimes. This is caused by a build up of gunk in your throttle body causing the throttle plate to stick. Maintenance is very easy just remove your air intake hose off the throttle body and then you can have somebody push down on your gas pedal or you can open up the throttle plate by pushing on the throttle cable linkage. After you have the throttle plate open spray throttle body cleaner inside it and on the throttle plate. Wipe it out with a rag. Put back on the air intake hose and you should be good. Make sure the car isn't running when you do this. The cost should only be about three dollers for a can of cleaner.

Well, it usually interfere with the engine breathing. The sign would show up as bad idle or if completely blocked, then engine would stall. Not sure how much it costs because I usually do it myself. Takes 20 minutes, shop towel, and can of carb cleaner. I would hate to go to mechanic for this things because even if they work for 10 minutes, they would charge for 1 hour of labor. So I would think you would end up paying about $100 or so.
