To swap it completly and correctly you need the OBD2 B16A, if not you will need to convert the motor over to OBD2 to make it run correctly. To convert a OBD1 or OBD0 motor over you will need the oil pump, crank position sensor, distributor, and a knock sensor. However if you find a OBD2 B16A engine, you will only need the COMPLETE wiring harness, the ECU (either a P2T from a 99-00 civic SI, or a P30, or P28 from a OBD1 vehicle with the conversion harness), the front axles, shift linkages from a 99-00 civic SI, the rear "T-bone" motor mount, the other motor mounts, and thats pretty much it. The complete swap if everything goes well and you have access to the appropiate tools will take between 8-10 hours and it also depends on the level of mechanical knowledge you have. The reason I suggest getting the complete wiring harness is that you can unplug the main engine wiring from the fuse box under the hood, and pull the engine with all the wiring attached, and drop in the new motor with the wiring completed and just plug it in to the main fuse box. This easily cuts 1-2 hours out of the install and saves a few headaches. If you have a EX model it is possible to use the existing harness but there is some cutting and splicing that is required to accept the DOHC motor. If you have a DX or LX model you HAVE to get a wiring harness because the whole setup is different and it won't have the VTEC wiring. You will need a cherry picker or if you have a car hoist available you can just drop the motor from under the car and raise the car up and lower it over the new B16.

hmotorsonline.com sells the engine, hasport.com sells the mounts, rywire.com makes the jumper harness for you ecu harness converison. Honda-tech.com look at EG/EK/EH section on top and click it, then look at FAQ's read read read there all you need to know about swaps
