is it doing it when the car is in motion? when you brake? I kept hearing a knocking noise when i braked recently and found out it was my suspension.

This is a problem with a bearing or a bushing I can't remember which one but it is fairly cheap enough to buy.Bring to a local garage and they will fix you all up.

Sounds like one of your CV joints is badly worn. You need to replace this for next MOT.

Is it a knocking or clicking? Do this test when driving your car have the window down and listen. drive in a straight line if you don't hear any noise press on the brakes. if you do hear noise let me know what kind of noise it was. Now drive the car and turn to your left (all the way left do donuts) if you hear a clicking noise its your CV AXLE (busted) and they need to be replaced. Do the same test to your right side.Automotive Technichain for 23 years

If it does it when the steering's on full lock and it's a sort of repetitive knock-knock-knock, that sounds like a cvj failing. On t'other hand, if it's an irregular clonk, that points to a suspension bush. I'd get a mechanic to listen, it's always difficult to describe a noise in writing.

Do the test they mentioned to see if its the axle. Other then that make sure the lower & upper ball joints are good and the ball joint on the tie rod end. If all those check out its most likely you steering rack end bushing. 10 buck from Honda while your in there think about changing your inner tie rods and tourqing everything to spec. Ebay has some tie rod/ ball joint sets really cheap.
