The crankshaft speed sensor is on top, and the mainshaft speed sensor is at the front of the engine down by the shift solenoids and the linear solenoid underneath.
If your D4 light is flashing it could mean the magnet on one of the sensors is dirty, remove and clean. Otherwise check the resistance on the terminals of the sensor to be between 400 and 600 ohms. If not, it's faulty - replace them. A faulty sensor is common. The flashing D4 may mean your car's transmission is not going into lockup mode and will cause a slight decrease in fuel mileage. |
