Personally, without knowing the repair costs, I say keep it! Those things run FOREVER. Not sure how many miles you have on it but you can expect 225,000+ miles of life in it.

trade in i repairs usually leads to other repairs and mazda tribute might be a good change. a question for you is if your bored of ur civic if you are get a tribute althought a civic hybrid might be good for gas mileage.

i think if it was me id just have this one repaired if its not a real high mileage vehicle, you can repair it cheaper than you can buy another vehicle, and think of it like this, you only have 6 more payments on it,so that's something to consider, before i went back in debt again id really think this one through, you know the car better than i do though ,and do you think its worth repairing,? good luck with it.

Invest in the repairs. It will be much cheaper than buying a new car again. The car will be paid for in 6 months! That's money in the bank

Repair it. It will be cheaper in the long run. If you don't have money for the repairs, then you can sell this car (you won't get much due to repairs needed) and buy the Mazda. You won't be able to buy another Civic (they are too expensive). The Mazda would be the smart choice if you go this route.

if you trade it in they definatly wil not give you much and your in debt again. honestly i would get a trustworthy mechanic to check out exactly what you do need. most of the parts are cheap because of the aftermaket parts avalible. i would research everything struts are cheap but if you can get a good list and have everything written down then it would be a whole lot easier to know what exactly you need. i doubt it will break apart but might be very dangerous to drive i can believe. hav who ever checked it out write you the list and get estimates from mechanics. maybe you can save youself money by buying aftermarket or used but depends some parts are so cheap its not worth it to buy used. once its paid off sell it buy something better or older but in good condition. well if you like see if you get the list of parts you need and let me know i have a cuzin whos a mechanic and i could get you great price on what the parts gonna cost and whether or not its worth fixing. just feel free e mail me.

look i don't know about you but here what i will say keep it because you only got 6 more month to pay and if you can't wait until 6 more month. try borrow a car from a friend and keep saving your money and after six month you will have a lot of money lying around and you can than fix. Honda is a great car and it will last you longer than the Mazda Tribute and if you trade it in you, you won't get as much value for it because the dealer are going to have to charge you to repair it so fix it and if you are tired of driving a CIVIC than sell it and buy the Tribute. so have your mechanic look at it and than go to eBay.com for cheaper new or use parts. trust me you will spend may be up to $500 on the parts and may be $300 for the mechanic to do the install so good luck.

Get it repairs. Check out several shops, get quotes and references.Jumping for a Civic to a Tribute (same as Ford Escape) may not make you happy. You will find you have to take corners at about 2/3 the speed you do in the Civic, and the braking distances are longer. In addition you consume 50% more gasoline - if you get 30 mpg in the Civic, you'll get around 20 mpg in the Tribute with same driving style. Thus your daily costs are going increase significantly. In addition, the Tribute will not last as long, costs more ot insure, and looses resale much faster than a Civic.
