Yes, 300hp is doable without a blower or turbo.

gsr is a good engine, but the rumor is honda motors are not meant to be boosted or they blow. really depends on how you build it.Why not just purchase a car that comes boosted from the dealer, theres alot of cars out there very cheap. probably going for the same rate a the gsr (depending on year). try srt4cobalt ss/scsubaru wrx, mazda 3speed/old and new

Well the guy that listed the cars have no idea what hes talking about. The cars he listed are well over $12,000. The GSR can be had for about $5,000. The motors are one of the strongest motors Honda has ever made and they take to added HP quite nicely as long as its done right. You can take a completly stock GSR put a Turbonetics turbo kit on it at 8-10 PSI and put down 260-290 HP right out of the box. Beef up the bottom end with low compression pistons, and forged rods turn the boost up to about 14-16 PSI and have a 400 HP street monster. Now this is given the tuning of the fuel and ignition timing is done correctly. But the GSR motor is followed heavily in the aftermarket and the motor is fairly easy and cheap to work on. You can fully build a GSR motor from the crank up to the cams for about $8,000.

it can be tuned but you have to research everything. like for starters the intake manifold from factory is garbage. you have to buy high performance just for the extra air flow. then injectors and fuel pump....ect. but it makes great power with simple bolt ons. however the gsr transmissions are known to go very easily so you might consider going for the b 16 transmission. they bolt right up and shorter gears means your car will be the closest to the gears on the type r. you can always install an lsd as well but its perfered to find a b16 trans with the lsd in it. gsr can most definatly be tuned. just make sure not to go cheap and get a good mechanic to tune it.
