There is a problem with your electrical system. If your alternator is failing and you are running on battery power your car may suddenly quit working in the middle of the freeway when the battery finally gives out. I suggest you get it to the mechanic ASAP.

Or, if any of these previous suggestions don't work, make sure you replace the alternator with a HONDA-SPECIFIC alternator. A generic alternator will work fine for the first couple of days, and then the battery light will come back on again.
