Hondas typically hold their value longer than Chevys. They have a reputation of lasting forever.

Personally I would choose the Honda Civic. Only because I heard that they last for a long time. That they really don't need to be fixed all the time.

They are both good vehicles don't listen to all these people that say they heard this and that most of them are full of crap. The Cobalt SS supercharged is 205HP.

In my personal opinion, the Cobalt looks better. It's not as dull and common as a Civic. Plus, it's slightly cheaper. But with the Civic, you'll get amazing reliability. And that matters more than looks in the long run. Here's a comparison: http://autos.msn.com/research/compar...06056&v=m12755

It all depends on what one you are talking about. the civic base (dx,lx,ex,eamples) or the SI. and if you are asking about the cobalt ss or just the cobalt (LS,LT)the civic SI is 197 horsepower and the cobalt ss is 171 horsepower. the civic base and the cobalt base is around the same.It really all depends on what you want i say look at both websites and then decide.remember to take the look into consideration. the civic looks like other cars because other cars company make the car look that way. the cobalt looks different just because the Chevy company went a different route. Just do your research. and find what is best for you.

if your just looking for a car to drive get the honda. honda's cost less to maintain than any gm, i know i manage a parts store. i sell more parts for a gm in a day than i do for any import in 3 days. everyone else already touched base on reliablility, comparing the 2,etc, etc. just thought i would throw in you should be concidering how much it will cost you to maintain either of the vehicles

Honda Civic. American car companies are going in the toilet, not only will the Honda hold its value more it will prove more reliable in the long run. Not to mention with the Si trim level you get the K20 i-VTEC which is one of the most popular power plants in Hondas and Acuras. Honda is also coming out with a Mugen Civic Si sedan, better styling and performance. Mugen is a Japanese based performance company working with specifically Hondas. The Cobalt was made by Chevrolet to increase it's total EPA so it could continue to make it's trucks and suvs.
