The Si is the top of the line civic, while as a "regular" ex. LX, EX, GX, Hybrid etc. is not. The "regular" civics have a K18 or a 1.8L motor, while the Si only had a 6 sp manual transmission with a K20 (2.0L DOHC i-VTEC) (rsx-s engine.) Si has more horsepower, and insead of having blue lights inside, it's red. Also has more options. Hope this helps. :]

The Si has the K20 and the Ex has a R18 sohc. You will be perfectly happy with any Civic you buy. Test drive and buy accordingly. Happy shopping

There are a lot of differences. Besides the engine difference which someone already quoted the SI has:Red interior lights instaed of blue17" rims instead of 16 (EX)350 Watt CD/MP3 stereo w/subwoofer instead of 140 wattSi stitching and black interiorSpolier in backChrome exhaust tipSi floor mats3 Si-only colors (Rallye Red, Fiji Blue Pearl, and Habanero Red Pearl)Aside from that it's an awesome car.
