Default Automatic Transmission is slipping on 98 Honda Accord 4 cyl. - How long can I drive it for?

The automatic transmission on my 98 Honda Accord just started a slight slipping when going from a full stop to about 50 Km/hr. It is just a slight 1/4 to 1/2 second pause or drop in power as is shifts. It doesn't seem to slip at higher speeds when under full power. Can it be driven still or should it be repaired immediately? Does it have to be replaced or is their some simple adjustments that can be made?

Add transmission fluid first, then, if the problem continues, take it to the shop.

Get it checked asap it might just be low on fluid and have slight leak. The more you drive the worse it could be if its a simple issue and you drive it you will cost yourself big money.

You'ld be better off having it checked and fixed as soonest possible. The Honda matics are not just mechanical but electronic as well so a qualified service center would be your best bet. The longer it stays unchecked, it will worsten and you'll have more problems and higher cost in repairs.

They are bad for that, I would get it repaired soon, it will be very expensive, but if you wait, it could be a lot more.
