Default 00 Honda Civic Si Or 03 Honda Civic Si?

Out of those two which one would you rather go with? I know the 00 Si's have low tourqe but that wouldnt be a problem a little after you got started. And the 03's i heard have more torque but they dont feel as sporty as the 4th Gen. Plus the Egg shape would have to grow on me which one would you prefer?

03 is better because you can easily modify it and has better performance.

Go with 03 if you can afford it.

03 without a doubt. Looks aside, would you rather have a B16 VTEC or a K20 engine iVTEC (1.6 or 2.0 liter with better VTEC system)? No contest.

hands down the 00 civic si. The 99-00 Si are one of the best made civics of all time. The B16a2 are DOHC VTEC engines, which are unbelievable amazing. The k20A3 engines are good, but Honda B Series are one of the best made engines of all time. The k20A3 are not that great engines compared to the k20 and k20A2.

00 civic all the way... actually, the suspension on the 99 si was the better... But, although the 03 has a 2.0 "I-VTEC", it really wasn't a VTEC at all, the engine has 4 valves per cylinder but the fourth valve on each cylinder (the whole purpose of VTEC engaging) didn't completely open all the way when the VTEC solenoid would engage! Plus, the 03 is heavier and contrary to what one of the previous comments stated, the 99-00 SI is more DIY friendly, and has a large market of parts available.by the way, the only K20s that were truly "VTEC" were the K20s on the RSX Type-S! (referring to older model SI and baseline RSX, the 06-07 SI is a real VTEC)
