a 2 door ex coupe would obviously be faster then the sedan cuz it weighs less, so i would get the coupe!a cavalier or a malibu from that year would be slow compared to a coupe or sedan accord. the accord u want is an ex so it comes with a vtec engine, another thing the accord would be way more reliable then ur other choices and honda has the best resale value. hopefully ur gettin a stick coupe good luck.

The weight should not be relevant. The 4 doors would make life much simpler. Especially for college life. Both models are excellent cars. Try to find one with about 90k miles or less. And make sure they have good records of all maintenance. Also check to see what scheduled maintenance will need to be preformed after your purchase. Take all of these into account and see where you can get the best deal. Because that is what really matters, you will be perfectly happy with both cars. Just make sure you don't purchase a malibu or cavalier. As the first guy said, resale matters. And so does quality. Goodluck

I looked at both of these cars but they were 2003. I love the coupes I use to own a 1999 honda coupe and it treated me well. I don't like 4 DRS but if you have kids or a lot of friends you might want one of those, but I don't have either. The coupes are sporty looking and faster than the 4 dr make sure if you get a coupe it V6. They are the best. I own a 2003 Honda Coupe and everybody says to me when they see it 'damn thats a nice looking car, what is that a 2006?'

you may want to look at the cost of insurance between the the two cars.

can only give you one con...the 98 , 99 , 00 and 01 V6 accord had serious automatic transmission problems. during those years , certain vehicles that fell in between certain vin numbers had those problem . you should maybe asked the current owner if there transmission was ever updated through warranty . cause you don't want to get that and find out that you need a trans. that would suck.....

In terms of reliability and running performance, they're pretty similar. Are you looking for the V6 or the in-line 4? I believe the EX trim level has both versions. The 4 cylinder will be more economical in terms of fuel consumption and service costs, while the V6 will be somewhat faster in acceleration and be quieter and smoother at higher speeds. You may want to drive both and see how you like it - the 4 cyl. cars' acceleration is pretty adequate for everyday driving. Sedan vs. Coupe - will pretty much boil down to your preference. Coupe has a more swoopy look, if you like that, but the sedan is better for carrying passengers if you regularly carry riders in the back seat and it has more legroom there as well. Insurance rates may vary between the coupe and sedan versions, and this could be a considerable difference particularly if you are a younger driver. Check for quotes. As noted, both are very sound, reliable cars. Good luck.
