The car was involved in a crash that didnt deploy the airbags about a year ago, and that was the only crash it had been involved in. However, the srs light came on about 5 months ago. I take my drivers license test in 5 days, and obviously, the dmv wont let me test in that car. I don't feel like rescheduling my appointment and having to wait another month to get my license, so is there any way i can fix this? I also heard by unplugging the battery, then replugging it, the light could go off, is this true? Any ideas on how to get this light off is greatly appreciatedhow much would it cost to fix it at the dealership?

Unplugging the battery may make the light go off, long enough for the ECM to see a fault and turn the light back on again. You just need to get it scanned for codes. It could be anything from air bags to seat belt retractors, or even an open circuit in any of the electrical connections. You can't take care of this one with guess work, and since we are talking about safety items, it may be better to fork over the money to a pro.
