Antilock Braking System prevents skids when the wheels lock up. It allows the car to come to a stop faster and in control in an emergency braking situation.

Not in engine, but in brakes. It stands for antilock braking system. On wet or icy surfaces, sensors prevent the wheels from totally locking up when a person stomps the brakes,, pumping them far more quickly than any person can, This allows a chance of maintaining a bit of control instead of sliding straight along the line the car wants to go.

ABS is a braking system, which keeps the wheels from locking, so you can A: stop faster, and B: turn while under heavy braking.

ABS helps car stops in a straight line instead of spins out of control, will not make the car stop faster though.

Anti-lock Brakes will help to stop quicker and safer by preventing the car from going into a slide or skid. The system safely releases enough on each wheel to prevent any loss of traction.
