I just bought a 1987 civic hatch si and i was wondering if it had a different engine than the 1988? and also if the engine mount placements were different? I'm also saving up money to buy a new engine and was looking into getting a k20, i was wondering if it would fit good inside the civic as well, since i havent seen a k20 in a 3rd generation civic before. If anyone can help this noob out, i'd really appreciate it. Thank you

i checked out the internet and it doesn't seem to have much on 3rd generations, its kinda sad and my mechanic buddies dont have much ideas either. Like the other day i was looking for 3rd generation civic clubs online and found only 1 and it wasnt really what i wanted. Dont tell me that my brother was right and that i bought a piece of junk
