Default 2001 honda prelued oil leak for exaust?

ok i took my 2001 honda prelude in to get a few thing done last week i got the oil changed and on the way home i smelled brunt oil thought it was just a lil spit on the engine but when i got hom i popped the hood and say a good bit come out. i crawled under and saw what looks like a braied line type thing that come from the down pipe and goes to another pip and into the cat (looks like a chines finger trap but about 2 inches in dimater) and the smoke was comeing from it so i got oil leaking some wear in m y engin and going in to my exaust. i read it was eater a o ring or something to do with my valaves not sealed right what should i do i was thinking on some stp oil stop leek for now till i can have it looked at next paydaywell i looked and its so bad my cat is messing up againe i think it might be worst off idk im having it looked at thanks for the help tho

Your oil filter is located on the back of your engine, above that flex pipe, chinese finger torture looking pipe. It sounds like when they took the old filter off, they let the oil run down over the engine and onto your pipes. Normally, the filter should be slightly loosened and allowed to drain before removing, or at least maybe they can take a few precious seconds and clean the oil off that ran down. I don't think you have any real problem with this, but I would mention it when you go back for your next oil change. It is nice to be in and out of those places, but not at the expense of worrying.
