One thing to consider: As a new driver, no matter how careful & consciencious you are, you _will_ have a fender bender or two, sooner or later, until you get a little more experience under your belt. Better to bend an old, cheap fender than a new, expensive one. Even if the insurance company pays for the damage, it ultimately comes out of your pocket. So go for an older car; even if you never bend anything, you'll save a ton of money on depreciation.

Ok, Honda sucks but since you are brainwashed on the idea... go for the Pilot. Here's why... The Ridgeline sounds like something in your underwear. LoL, seriously, the Ridgeline is a truck for work... you want more room inside for making out with girls. Element is ugly but better. But if you can afford the Pilot, now there's a nice big SUV! Lots of room inside for you know what. It makes the CRV's look like crap.Oh, if you want something to save you gas, then Toyota is your best selection. Actually, I would have to guess the Element would be give the best mileage amongst those three but not as good as Toyota. You want the Pilot, it's the best suv of the short list you made.
