No one makes a seat cover for your Element that will not affect the operation of your car's airbags. You have side airbags in your front seats.that are located on the outboard side of each seatback. In a collision event the side fabric of the seat shears as the airbag deploys to form a cushion between the person in the seat ant the door. If you put a seat cover over the seatback then in a collision the side airbag would be contained under the seatcover and not afford you any protection. I would strongly suggest you not try to find a cover for the seats. The interior of the Element is pretty rugged and holds up well to dirt and grime. Stay with the factory seat cover and stay safe.hope that answers your question
