All B-Series engines are good swaps for a Civics. There are three to consider; The B18a/b engines from the Integra LS, the B18C1 from the Integra GS-R and the B18C5 from the Integra Type R. The B18C5 is the most potent but it's outrageously priced for what you get. The B18C1 is a better one to have. Another good option is the LS VTEC. Common reffered to as a "Frankenstein Swap", this is a B18A or B18B with a GS-R VTEC head. it has a wider powerband than the other B18s, and it's cheaper to build than a B18C1 or C5 swap. Another advantage is that it is more boost-friendly because of the lower compression bottom end. The only cveat here is that you MUST have it built by a really good builder that knows how to do it or you'll have oil leaks.
