OBD stands for On Board Diagnostics, and the OBD1 and OBD2 are diagnostic tools to help tune engines. I believe the only difference is that the OBD2 is newer and may not work on some older cars. That is a guess though I am not quite sure.Good Luck though

They use totally different communication standards and are not compatible. Just change out the computer with the engine. What's the problem? It's expensive, but that's Honda for you.

OBD- onboard diagnosticsobd1- for one you have a 95 civic which is obd1 so you will not have to convert to obd2, which is easy enough, you could just but a conversion harness. also easily tunableobd2-more of a learning ecu, you can make changes in its programing, but the computer will make corrections itself to return it back to how it originally operated, or very close to it.
