Default 1989 Honda Civic Wagon manual transmission problem?
When I first start driving, I have a hard time shifting in and out of gears, but after a few minutes it seems to shift fine.... any ideas???

well the problem is probally because its a honda....end of story

sounds like you syncros are going bad (that is if there is any grinding going on).about 1-2,000 fix. a much cheaper idea is to have the tranny flushed and a new filter put in. Make sure to use ONLY HONDA MTF fluid otherwise there will be a vast increase of tranny deteration

Could be numerous things....change the trans fluid in it and make sure someone has not put heavy gear oil in it by mistake....a good 10-30W motor oil will work great and not give you any trouble......
