Default can a header made only for honda civic ex could fit a honda civic lx?

ive been doing alot of research and i still dont find headers for my 2004 honda civic lx. I just found for EX ( 2004: 1.7L, 4 Cylinder, GAS, FI, D17A2, MFI EX ) not Lx ( 2004: 1.7L, 4 Cylinder, GAS, FI, D17A1, MFI LX) . please help me out. the headers just fit engines D17A2 ( EX ) and my is D17A1 (LX).

it prolly wont fit, but buy a repair manual and check the part numbers it gives you for the headers, or just call this guy Don, we call him Napa Don (217) 438-9911. he will tell you everything you need to know. hes a smart guy

you still won't find any.they don't make headers for the 7th generation dx or lx. you have to change your system to the EX layout.

yes, it should. but to know for sure, call a parts store, have them cross reference the exhaust manifold gasket part numbers between the cars. if they are the same you are ok.BTW to the VTEC vs. non vtec in the same year, if you look closely at a non vtec the casting in the head is apparent that it could be vtec due to the indentations on it. basically the manifold will fit. The only trouble I ever ran into doing mixes is intakes, EGR clearance to the vtec solenoid. Really honda only has a handfull of patterns, used since 87 upto the present, I have a motor from 89 with 97 headers and a 99 head with a 03 intake and a 88 teg ecm, hondas are flexible, give it a shot.
