Honda Civic 97 back driver side door was not opening from out side.before it was open from inside.I think the child lock active.I push the child lock and the door is totaly lock, nor opening inside, nor from outside. please how i can open door.

You need the dealer to fix it--the rods are probably bad--you cannot do this job at home.

hmm, my last car had this problem. Its the power lock relay sytem malfunctioning. It could be the power lock motor inside the door panel that has gone out, im pretty sure thats it.

Sounds like the little plastic clips that attach to the metal rods in the door are broken. if u take the door off, u can follow the metal rods to see where the problem is, door should come off easy 1 screw in the handle , one in the pocket and then it the rest are panel clips, then the the door panel should pop off. if that doesn't work the dealer may be your next best option, or a junk yard to find replacement parts..
