why would you remove the MAF sensor? you do know that its there for a reason?its there to determine the air coming into the engine so that the computer can deliver the right amount of gas to the engine. No everything is not OK.BtwSINCE WHEN DO CIVICS HAVE MAF Sensor?

You answered your own question. Put your MAF sensor back, please. Your car wasn't produced with lots of extras that do nothing.

The engine check light is doing just what it should do - telling you something is not working right.Put the MAF sensor back on.If you took it off to put a sports air filter on, take my advice and revert back to standard.

Put back the sensor, remove one of the battery terminals (preferrably negative side)for a few seconds then reinstall it to get rid of the check engine light, and don't do it again. There is more harm than good.
