Both good. Civic is more sporty and accord is considered more of a civilized passenger car.

Civic has a recall for wheels falling off, go for the Accord (they use better glue to hold the wheels).

I think the Honda Civic Si and Honda Accord V6 models are the best ones to consider. The other models are slow, especially if they are purchased with an automatic transmission.

I have had both cars. The Honda Civic is smaller, but nice and it gets slightly better gas mileage. I have an Accord now, and I love it. It has much more room than the Civic. I have a 5-speed, which I would highly suggest getting over an automatic any day. I get about 35 mpg highway with it. I drive it all the time, and I have not had any problems with it.

accord.. because you have room to grow and a little more sohistication.. the new 08's are hot... both run great and good on gas..so maybe for you it could be looks.. accords do cost a couple grand more.

Ignore the stories about the Civic recalls unless you live in Canada. The primary difference between the Accord and Civic will be interior room and milage. The trade off is your choice. If you need more interior room, the Accord is your choice. If you can live without the extra room, the Civic or Fit are great choices. And you get better gas milage. Granted you can get a good 4 cylinder engine in the Accord. But if you need to save on the price of gas, the Civic or Fit are great choices.
