damaged? How much would it cost to replace them a 2000 Honda Civic in Houston? Please help I dont know what to do. What causes that? Is it something major? If you dont replace them, what would happened? Please help I dont know what to do and I really dont know anything about cars. I appreciated so much.

hondas got a weak cv joint.. just turn your wheels all the way to the right then and gas the car a lil then left and gas it a lil .. if it make a loud noise is gone.. they go for about 75 dollar each.. 125 installeddont go to the dealer. check locar mechanic store and shop around ask them how much. then be out if the want more that $150 pull up the thier driveway burn some tires... :-)

I had a CV go on the outer end of the half-shaft on a Fiat X1/9. All it cost was the replacement part, a tub of molybdenum-dysulfide (?) grease, and my time.

if it makes noise, it is too late. a total failure will leave you stuck in traffic, waiting for a tow truck. i have had this happen to me about 5 months ago. not a whole lot of fun. just take it to a shop that you trust and have it replaced. and rest easy. sure you pay a little bit, but you can rest assured that the problem is gone, or that the parts warranty will help in the event of a failure in the nearby future. as for the price, i do not know. i can find the part for less than $100 and have it in in less than an hour....

it sounds like its gone, take a look at the front tires and look for a odd tire wear pattern. you should jack up the car, tires off ground and grab the tire a wiggle back and forth , if it feel real loose it the cv joint that's bad..

when you turning do you hear a click click click sound, if so it might be your cv joint cost could be under $400 install but not sure how your labor rate is in your area
