There is no point putting nitrous on a car because it is a waste of money and you can't use it because it is legal

You can get about a 30-50hp kick from a small 5lb bottle and decent foggers but being as it is said before, illegal for street use it may not be a good option, bottles will only get youa ticket if they are open, and they sell electronic bottle openers but they can be very pricey. Nitrous will give you the biggest bang for the buck but there are a lot of other things to consider such as timing advance and trans heat. Really for the same price you will spend on a full nitrous system from a reputable dealer you can buy a lot of legal goodies to make the same results. A full 10lb ZEX system can cost over 800 dollars, switching to Vtec heads might costs you about the same or perhaps a throttle body upgrade mated with a slightly expanded exhaust. I have never been a fan of dry shot systems because of the inneficiency and it doesn't cool your TB like wet shot does. In all honesty even with an extra 100 RWHP you are still only about as fast as a stock Impala LS or Grand Prix GT, try to remember that the fast and the furious glorified the hell out of nitrous and in a car that produces little more horepower then a voltswagen beetle you would need a lot of other upgrades to actually make this car fast.

It is very dangerous for street use. There are to many cons to using it on the streets. Getting busted is the least of your problems. After market upgrades to your car will help more and also be more reliable in the long run.You should see a difference with these few upgrades. Also it will be really fun to drive.NEW Cold Air IntakeNEW HeaderNEW Complete Exhaust SystemAlso remember, nitrous is really only for the track. I suggest a turbo kit for you. But that is about $4000-$5000 (and that is doing it cheap)

Well, the dude with the second answer had alot of decent information, but I can tell that he's not all that familiar with your Honda. He would rather buy sub-standard american cars and probably hasn't done any work to them, but always claims he "could."Look, if you want to put nitrous on your car, you've either done your homework or are guessing. Your car does not have an option to get a supercharger and the turbocharger option is actually going to be extremely painful because your intake manifold is made out of plastic, which can make it expand under boost and split open. You'd have to custom fabricate a whole new metal manifold. But you asked about Nitrous because you know it's the biggest bang for your buck initially. The cost of the kit mainly depends on if you can put it in yourself. Getting back to if it's a good idea, why don't you get a compression check done on the engine first? If it checks out that you have no bad symptoms, it's time to think about a 50 shot. From this 50 shot, you'll be gaining 30 to 35 horsepower at the wheels. If you had a turbo, it's be more like 60 to the wheels. Your civic automatic transmission was made unlike other companies with a real torque convertor and consequently, can hold less power but is made for efficiency to put down the most power to the wheels. Keep an eye on the fluid if you're going to give it the juice. It'll save you an expensive repair. If you have headers and an exhaust, you'll get slightly more performance too. The bottom line: your car which, stock, puts out 95 to 100 horsepower to the wheels will now put out around 120 to 130 horsepower to the wheels, and it will feel like vtec kicking in, although don't expect to be blown back in your seat. All you Honda Haters out there, stop posting if you dont' have anything useful to put on walls, you're just proving your an idiot even more
