a school mate of mine is having problems with her power windows going up and down, she says it wont go up or down, I was thinking it was a fuse but I just wanted to get some input by other people or a confirm that it was a fuse (even thought it could be a series of things) thank you

If it wont go up or down just check the fuse first before going and replacing the window motor. If its not a fuse I would check out all the wires coming off the window motor and make sure there all connected properly and also check the window switch because they do go out sometimes. And if it still doesnt work then I would look into buying a new or used window motor.

disconnect the window regulator motor, connect a volt meter to the connector going to the car (the one that you just disconnected). connect the window switch and the door lockactuate the window switch (push up or down) with the key on engine off, and if you have voltage there, replace the window regulator/motor if you don't have voltage at the connector you have an electrical problem possibly the window switch itself is badalso... do the other windows work?
