Buying used is dangerous. This is because there are a lot of defects that show up when driving, that are not visible to the eye. Also mixing tire sizes and brands can result. While mixing tire brands may not be all that bad, mixing tire sizes can be. I bought a car one time that had five different tire sizes on it (counting the spare of course). The previous owner had traded it in because of the way it handled. He had been buying used tires for it, he got what he paid for.A better bet would be to go to the dealer and buy "Take Offs".These differ (to me at least) from "used tires" in that they are a matched set, and were replaced only because of a car buyers desire to have a different look. There are other places to find these type tires. But a Honda (in this case) dealer would be the best bet.Think about this- I have bought new tires just because they went squarely on me, they look ok. They may have had a bad belt or been over stressed (I have been known to go through a turn labeled 25 mph at 90 mph). Would you want my rejects on your car? After all I replaced them because I felt they were unsafe. I have two rules on car maintenance-1. Don't skimp on brakes.2. Don't skimp on tires.Because when something stupid happens in front of you, they are the only things that your skill can not make up for the failure of them (and most likely when you need the best the most).
