Default I just bought a 1989 Honda Ascot. I noticed that beside the automatic gear box is a keyhole.?

I don't know what it's for since the letterings underneath it are in Japanese.

Sometimes the Shift locks and wont move....so you take your car key and put in there and unlock it....i have a '96 honda accord and thats the only time ive had to use it.

Shift lock release for tow trucks and emergencies. Sometimes the solenoid just sticks too.
