it will not hurt the engine, and it will put less pollution into the air,

It's a good investment. Also look at a supercharger such as those by Jackson Racing. With a supercharger you'll get much better low-end torque, smooth power build-up, and no turbo lag. If you want more street power, more low-RPM pull, go with the supercharger. If you are going to race, and run at high RPM's most of the time, more "kick", get the turbo.

ummm, IMO i don't think it is. I wouldn't realy consider turboing a single overhead car, unless a turbo just fell in my lap. DOHC engines are far better for tuning a turbo...so I think you should invest in a gsr engine 175 hp, (probably just as much as if you turboed or supercharged around 6-7 psi) see if you like that, then if you still feel like a turbo do it then.

not wise unless you have strengthened your engine internals!! by strengthening your engine, not only can you get a bigger turbo and start off with a lower boost instead of getting a small turbo now and upgrading it in the future. suspension setups are also very important!! need turbo headers, larger piping and exhaust. i personally think that it is not a good idea to turbo charge a SOHC even a DOHC, i would recommend at least a B16a or B18CR. always remember the internals must be strong to be reliable!
