Default 2000 Honda Accord EX Audio (Radio & CD) Issue?

I just bought a USED 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 4 Door sedan used. I am unable to recieve ANY FM or AM radio singnals. I search but NOTHING tunes in. I even tune into local stations that i know have strong signals and the "ST" indicator barely comes on.Any thoughts on why this is? Any information would be greatly apprecited!*Please note that this system is the ORIGINAL Honda factory installed FM/AM Single CD Player that came with the car when it was originally purchased. Additionally, I do not see an antenna on the car itself. So I assume that the antenna is internal.

If you just bought it, possibly the person that owned it before had an aftermarket stereo in it and changed it back to the stock one before the sale. When reinstalling it, he didn't plug the antenna back in.. check it out

You're not going crazy. My 95 accord has a similar weirdness, the radio will not work for a few days then turning around a corner at will come on and scare me. Sometimes it fades right out after that and sometimes it stays on a while. It seems to only happen after the car has been driving for a while (warmed up?) and when it does fade out, I can get it back half the time by giving the side of the console a few whacks.I see there is another web site that offers a solution to this problem for a fee. I haven't pursued that yet. There is power to the audio unit. (in my case a radio/tape deck) the stereo light flickers a bit even though properly tuned, but no sound and also no sound from the tape deck at those times. My suspicion is a bad contact at the cannon plug behind the unit which allows power but not the speaker output...dunno.Not much of an answer maybe, but at least some good leads to follow up.
