Default Would a Honda Civic be a good first car?

i will be getting my permit soon. and i am starting to save up for my first car. do u think a honda civic would be a good car. i mean i really love these cars. they r awesome. what kind of mileage do they get. do u think this is a sensible choice for a first cari want a good car that is going to be cheaper and is going to last a while. my brother's first car lasted 3 months and my sister's lasted a little over 9. so i want something that will last a lot longer than theirs so i dont have to ask for my parents help when the car dies after a few months

Yes a Honda Civic would be a great first car. If you maintain it and take care of it, it will last a very long time. Gas mileage is very good, 28+ mpg.

Honda Civics are outstanding cars. Good gas mileage, very solid and well made and very reliable. Glad to see a young person being sensible instead of asking about Audi TTs and BMW M6s.

Very sensible for value and their resale value is usually high if you take care of it. Just remember they have a high theft and most insurance companys charge more for customers with Honda's, Toyota... also if you live in a high crime area even a 90 Honda Accord could be a traget of vandals stealing headlights and brake lights. Good luck!

YES!!!exactly the same situation as i'm in right now, and i'm turning 16 in november and i'm about to purchase a 1995 civic, and i think its the best desision for me, civics are great cars, and they can go for a long time with high miles, and they are good on gas, and they just rock.my civic gets about 35-40 mpg, no joke.. so i would say go for it, becuase Civics are well known for being awesome and i just say that would be so awesome if you get one

Yes, Honda Civic is a very good car, and probably last forever, even if you don't take car of it. I've seen many civcs with 300k+ on original motors, and still were going strong. A buddy of mine had a civic with no oil in the engine, and the engine still lasted for 3 weeks, before it died. Honda Civics are hard to beat.

Nah. It's not a GOOD car. IT'S AWESOME! =] Gas mileage is GREAT because 1, it's a Honda, and 2 it isn't really a big car. This car is good for it's size though. For your first car if your getting used i recommend you get an 06 LX. Brand new, Lx still. Good luck with your Honda. I hope you LLOOVVEE IT! =p
