Absolutely! The Civic sedan I own is a fine car and one I would be glad to recommend to any parent looking for a first car to send their child out in.The Honda Fit is also a fine first car. A bit louder than the Civic, but more flexible for hauling large objects or people around.

They are good cars, but your insurance will be high and if you do need parts they are alot more money than parts for american made vehicles. And also if you care about status symbol...everyone has a civic these days...sumthin different wuld be nice

Honda's in general are great cars. great gas mileage and as long as you get the general maintenance done will last you for years. i know someone with a crv with over 100,000 miles on it and never done any major work on it at all.

it's a great first car,you might pay more than other cars, but it is worth every penny. parts are plentiful and the cars last forever. my friends civic just passed 275k, no troubles.. and if you're into modifying it, there are tons of aftermarket parts for it too.
