I have been told that I can have the Tether for car seats installed but I need my manuel for the car to say where and how, and the part number when I got this car there was no manuel. Will any 95 honda civic ex manuel work for this. If so does anyone have an extra or could copy the pages about the car seat tether and send them to me?The closest honda dealer is 100 miles away and by the time I get off work they are closed. On child safety seats there is what is called a tether option it is where the top of the child safety seat can clip on to the car to help keep the head part of the child safety seat from moving. I know its under child safety in the users book but I dont have a the users book for the carIm looking for the top tehter not the lower latch system. The instructions are in the users book but If you read my question all the way you would have known that I got the car with out the users book. I can not get another car dont have the funds to do so, plus my in laws just put a new motor and alot of other new parts. so getting rid of the car and getting another is not an option. Im not rich. I need the part number to order from a honda delar that is whay I asked if anyone had a users book for a 95 honda civic ex.

The LATCH tether is what you're talking about. This is the the tether that is mounted on the rear deck. It wasn't even available until 2001 model year and that's why it's not in your owner's manual or on your car. If you're going to do it yourself, I'm pretty certain that when you buy the kit for your car, it will have installation instructions with it. To be certain, call the dealer's parts dept and ask for the tether for your year car. Have you considered getting rid of your two-door and buying a 4 door EX Civic or Accord? A 4 door will make moving your baby in and out of your car a lot easier.

I would call the dealer - they can look up the part number for you, and if you pay over the phone they may be able to ship it to you. The tether anchors go in the back dash, I have a '99 so it may be a little different - the site below is a good place to ask. Mine had these little plastic circles in the back dash, you pop them out and then screw the tether anchor in. It was a little difficult to align the anchor and get it in right, but didn't take more than 20 minutes to put in. To get a copy of your owner's manual, contact Helm, Inc. at 1-800-782-4356. They publish all of Honda's user manuals and can ship any manual. Helm: http://www.helminc.com/helm/ Supposedly, "The tether part kit for all Honda models is 8241-SE3-C01 or 82410SE3C01. In the owner's manual it is called anchor plate and mounting hardware."
