Send me an instant messege at Felliph3 on aim.First of all there is no such thing as a B15. B series motors are DOHC,every one of them. The 1990 civic comes with the D15B1 or the D15B2 depending on car trim. Now that is probably not the best place to get the engine, i reccomend and even though its a little more expensive they all have great compression numbers and low mileage plus you get excellent customer service. The B16A is pretty much a straightforward engine swap for the 1990 civics. As far as mounts go i belive you can use a combination of 94 integra mounts and your stock ones although i recommend you get polyurethane bushing mounts from hasport, avid or some aftermarket company. Hondatech will tell you which mounts exactly to get as i am not sure. These swaps are so easy and the most youll have to do is the wiring but you can buy a harness that is a plug and play where you dont need diagrams for the wires. The stock transmission will not bolt up. You will need a B series tranny. The B16As have one of the best of the whole bunch because they are shorter so that gives you great acceleration.Check out some of theses links to help you swap:Also is a great resource, they will walk you through and answer any questions you might have. Dont be discouraged, if you cant swap a honda engine then you shouldnt be allowed near a car! Its that easy and should take you no more than 3 days being a first timer. They can be done within 8 hours and there has been a record of 30 minutes! Also B series motors in general just have different aspects but physically its mostly the same so a b18c1 for example is just bigger and uses a different ECU, a b18c1 swap would be identical to a b16a swap in terms of wha you have to do. you go!Make an account and ask which mounts you will need!EDIT:alrite I have a 89' honda civic DX Hatch. I got some new rims (Motegi MR7s 16'' silver) AEM Cold air intake, Skunk2 Mega power exhaust, black Tint, racing plugs, MOMO shift knob, and for engine I have Skunk2 Cam... (My car has 148,000 on it so it still has 1 more life to live)......... (A good handa engine for a swap would be a D16a6, B20 type........ I feel bad for you. 16 inch motegis arent going to do shit for u, cold air intake shows 1-2hp which u cant even really feel for what,100 bucks?black tint doesnt help one bit it just makes you look like a ricer.D16A6 is a piece of shit and im not even sure it exists ha,B20 type R?theres no such thing dont be foolish. Also u could never put ina B20 as an easy swap bc the tranny will not fit, you need another B series tranny to go with it.Spend your money on a turbo!
