Hello there!Send me an instant messege at Felliph3 on aim for helpYou can find an engine on a place where i recommend;
www.hmotorsonline.com and even though its a little more expensive they all have great compression numbers and low mileage plus you get excellent customer service. You can also find them at
www.craiglist.com, your junkyard or even
www.ebay.comThe B16A is pretty much a straightforward engine swap for hondas. As far as mounts go i belive you can use a combination of integra mounts and your stock ones although i recommend you get polyurethane bushing mounts from hasport,avid or some aftermarket company. Hondatech will tell you which mounts exactly to get as i am not sure.These swaps are so easy and the most youll have to do is the wiring but you can buy a harness that is a plug and play where you dont need diagrams for the wires. The stock transmission will not bolt up. You will need a B series tranny. The B16As have one of the best of the whole bunch because they are shorter so that gives you great acceleration.Check out some of theses links to help you swap:Also
www.honda-tech.com is a great resource, they will walk you through and answer any questions you might have. Dont be discouraged, if you cant swap a honda engine then you shouldnt be allowed near a car! Its that easy and should take you no more than 3 days being a first timer. They can be done within 8 hours and there has been a record of 30 minutes!Also B series motors in general just have different aspects but physically its mostly the same so a b18c1 for example is just bigger and uses a different ECU, a b18c1 swap would be identical to a b16a swap in terms of wha you have to do.
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/b...?id=4663...For your accord 85 i think the B16 is good but its rather torqueless.Some intro swap informationGeneral swap info and tipsThis could be better covered by someone with more swap experience, but I'll put in my $.02. Do it from the top. Just because more people have access to the tools and locations where putting in a swap from the top is easier. Also, make sure you have some way to crack the axle nuts loose. Air tools are a lifesaver when you have to turn bolts in a job like this, as is a torque wrench and a GOOD set of sockets. If you can follow directions on here and unbolt things and rebolt them with a little wiring, you can do a swap.A special thanks goes out to JDMlyfestyle for this thread
http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=9834... JDM SwapsHonestly, unless these come from a friend in Japan, you're taking a gamble every time. You have no real way to know how many miles are on the engine, nor how it was treated. Just keep that in mind. It has not been proven (no matter how many claims) that these JDM motors make any more HP.Where to find themFirst of all, if you are looking for a USDM motor, I'll suggest local junkyards. They are probally your best bet, as you can look at what you're getting instead of having to order it. Many people on here have bough swaps online, and they have posted their experiences in this thread:

These are going to be fairly straightforward options with the pros/cons. D series swapsThese are fairly inexpensive and come in a variety of Civics. IMHO, these are the easiest swaps to drop in. I also don't want to hear a bunch of whining about the opinions on power levels. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=...I myself reccomend you get the B18B which does not have VTEC but come in a handful and produce good torque numbers. If you boost that then you will have good power for cheap. You can swap one for 600 if you really knew how to do it yourself which if u have the tools you should and get it cheap. A good homemade custom turbo setup for around 1,400 tuned would also be a good idea. The B18B is def the best value for the money. B18C has VTEC and slightly more power and higher redline but they both are the same practicaly.Even if you dont turbo it you still have a lot of torque(127) and hp(142!)Another motor that would be ok would be D16Z6 that come int he 92-95 civic Sis. They must have at least 30hp more out of the box than yours. Check out honda-tech.com , they will really help you out with the swap.Now yes there are better motor than those and combos but the problem is that for a motor neewbie like you it could leave you walking and broke.Combinations like the H2B/F2D/F2B/LSVTEC/CRVTEC and so on require some experience or knowledge and tools!H2B is an H series motor mated with a B series tranny, great displacement+short and strong gears= FAST for not so much. People say thats the future of honda swaps. LS VTEC is when u get a B18B and put a B18C head/B16A head/ or any B series vtec head on it which has VTEC and that will give you power and VTEC but if you build it wrong it will not be reliable and will blow up! CRVTEC is the same thing basically but uses a B20 block witha B18C head/B16A head/ or any B series vtec headSo yess for you an easy swap would be the B18B and they come with auto trannys which would make it easier for you.The D15s are good but the fastest one only has 102hp and thats to the flywheel.Id suggest a B18B, its worth it! Plus you can get some swap experience. Good luck! If you need help swapping check out the HT 92 civic forum FAQ thread up top, theres links on how to swap!
