stay away from that thing...too many miles..and way to much money...i just bought a 2000 mercury van (loaded) for 4995...look around..if you really want the car take it for a test drive to some one who knows cars..check for leaks..check oil..check tranny...rev engine in idle and listen for any ticking or hesitation..if automatc then keep foot on brake and shift it and listen to feel as if the rear end is jumping or cluncking...check the tires for uneven ware..could be bad ball joints or bad alignment..do all lights work ..turn signals...how banged up is it...whats the inside look like..the trunk..check for rust in the floor board and the trunk and around the doors...start the car and leave it in park..wiggle the stearing wheel to feel for some slop without any tire movement...does the wipers and heater work..the defroster...powerstearing...for that old of a car and that price...nope...go to the bank and get a book value..bye

Look in your local paper, there is no way a 94 civic with those miles is worth 3000, let alone 4250. I don't care what "KRAP" it has on it. And besides all that "KRAP" will mostly shorten the life of it.

I've seen these engines go up to 300,000 miles. All depends on how the owner care for it. at 187,000, the transmission should not need rebuild service unless the car was used to pull heavy weight, driving without gear oil, or seriously abused.I would pass on this one because most rebuilt transmission would fail within 1 - 2 years. The car would've been better off with a used transmission than the rebuilt one.

Stay away from the car. 187k is a crapload of miles, even for a honda. I know it willlast up to 300,000+ but for 4 grand...its not worth it. Im sure you can find a better civic hatch for a better price.
