More than its worth. PERIOD, anybody that tells you otherwise is full of poo-poo. The whole engine compartment pretty much has to be redone. You need: motor/tranny, motor mounts, tranny mounts, shift linkages, complete wiring harness, hydraulic lines, different clutch master cylinder, fuel lines need to be made, axles, hubs, new front suspension for the weight, a aftermarket intake, ECU, fuel pump, and a lot of time. You are well on the way to spend over $10,000 to get it done. The logical choice would to buy a B16A or B18C1 for $1,300, have the internals built. The cost to have a COMPLETE build for the B series are as follows, the rotating assembly (crank, rods, pistons, and rings, all by eagle) are $1,400, a complete head build, Skunk2 parts= Stage 2 turbo cams $550, valves $160, valvesprings $200, retainers $150, cam gears $200. Machine work for the head $300, Sleeving the block $1,300 (which includes the machine work), and a shop labor rate (ours is right at $1,400 for the work mentioned above) Then get a ACT 6 puck sprung hub clutch, a ACT streetlite flywheel $500 for both, and a Turbonetics turbo kit ($3200). After this work, and 20 pounds of boost later you have a 400 HP civic. the grand total of this build is $10,660 INCLUDING LABOR!!! Remember the K20 motor/tranny alone is in the $4,000-$4,500 range.

That would cost way too much. I would just look for a new car or a new setup.

yea the swap is a grip of money and could go to a fully built turbo b series pushin a shit load of power. but if u really want a k swap i would wait alittle longer when k series motors are all around junk yards and wat not. the prices are comin down on them tho sum have sis the whole sawp for 4k just depends on how much u can do yourself

You'd be better off going onto forums and going through their classified ads, or going to your local junkyard and finding the RSX Type-S engine instead. There are quite a few people who have done that swap for $5,000-$6,000. But with the Type R swap, you're going to pay at least that for the engine, transmission, and ecu alone. Check out http://www.k20a.org/forum/ for all the info you'll need.
