Default Is this a good car deal for a first car?

it's a '95 civic dx hatchback with 61k original miles. The seller is an old lady with a disability and the car has handicap plates. the same lady is the frst owner of the car and se has given it scheduled maintenance. the car has minor scratches on the bumpers, but overall the paint is good (no sun-burnt spots) She is asking $3,500 for it.The car has brand new pirelli tires on it.

a 95 with 61k. thats awsome. i have a 94 civic hatchback. It makes an awsome project car if you're into that kinda stuff. its also a good daily driver. amazing gas mileage. it should be very reliable if taken care of. i think 3,500 is a great deal. but, its up to you. civics are stolen a lot. mine was already broken into so you should watch out for that.

any time ive seen a honda come through are shop its usually been either something really major, or something minor. i have seen several hondas push the 250,000. mile mark with no problems, but if its your first you will need to continue the maitnence. ask her who does the service and continue to take it to them. they know the car and the history, and will more then likely be willing to cut you a break on service. as for price, it is a good price if its rally in that good of shape.

It has low miles Problem a Sunday driver It's 17 years old but you can do alot of mods later if you want not a bad deal but I would try to get it a little cheaper. Since she is old you can problem get it for $2,500 Good Luck You can't go wrong with a Honda unless it needs repairs.

dude dont get a ricer. get an old car like a muscle car because they go up in value so if you get one right now in bad shape and fix it up by the time high school ends or whatever you can sell it for a lot and pay for college or anything. my brother bought a 1969 camaro for thousand fixed it up real nice he put another 15 thousand into the car and got 75k for it like 7 months ago

this is a really good deal for a first car. the civics are very reliable as long as they are mantiained and 61k is very low mileage for a car like that. also the car is fairly inexpensive for a first car that you know is gonna get dents and even more scratches. you may also be able to talkt he lady down a little bit on the price to maybe $3000-3200 depending on the overall condition of the car.

$3.5K for a '95 DX is more than double the blue book value. No, it is not a good deal. $2.2K - $2.5K would be a high reasonable without bumper scratches.

looks like a very good deal. You should still have a mechanic check it out first. might cost you $80-100 but that is money well spent.
