Hello, I'm trying to decide on a new car, potentially this civic. Can you please answer the following?1. how many actual miles per gallon to you get? what kind of driver are you (mostly freeway, local, etc)2. how much did you pay "out the door" at the dealership?3. what are the main things you like about your 4 door Civic LX? thank you.

OK I bought a used 2002 civic LX so the price won't help you that much but, last summer I calculated the gas mileage and I got about 35 mpg. I am mainly a loacl driver. The main thing I like about it is its reliability. Never had any problems with it, and good gas mileage.

1. A Honda Civic is going to get 30 city mpg/40 highway mpg. Most Honda owners will get at least this if not a little better after you get about 5,000 miles on it.2. If you want a real hassle free deal. Go into the local dealership, find one in stock and offer them $500 over invoice, which would be $17,444 plus tax, title and state fees. The key here is finding one in stock...if the dealer has to locate it for you, which they can do, there is a lot of paperwork that has to be done, a driver to pay, ect and they are going to want another $200 to get it for you. Not that an extra $200 is going to hurt you financially. It will only raise your monthly payment about $5 - $7 per month.3. What's not to like. #1 It's a Honda. #2 The only thing your missing from the Ex model are the alloy wheels, sunroof, steering wheel audio controls and available navigation system.

I prefer the Ford Fusion over the Civic. I think it has better and more updated options. Better styling beter overall ratings. Right now Ford is offering 0% APR on the Fusion.

Realistically you should get upper 20's (27) to mid 30's. The sticker is 30/40.Civic Sedan LX Automatics list for 18355. The invoice in our region is 16,856. You can't really go by kbb as they do not include the advertising fee that Honda tacks onto the vehicle when we buy it as it changes depending on which you region you sell in.They are pretty popular right now so Honda has no internal incentives to the dealers on them in our region so I think 500 over invoice would be fair.So figure17356 plus your tax and tags. tax and tags vary from state to state and sometimes county to county. It will be based on where you register the car and not where you buy it from. So if you drive from Florida to Maine to pick up a car as they might have lower taxes, you will still have to pay Florida sales tax as it is a "titled" productWell as far as why, there alot of reason. One of the biggest advantages of the Civic Model is its high resale. These things almost don't depreciate.
