I'm looking to trade in my 2003 Honda Civic LX coupe for the 2007 Honda Ridgeline. Does anyone own a Ridgeline, or know anyone that does -- provide me with any opinions you might have in regards to the truck? Is it a good investment, have you or anyone had any problems with the truck? I love the body style and what it has to offer. My Honda Civic has never posed any problems engine-wise, or whatnot. I've never had any issues with it **knocks on wood**.Basically trying to find out if it's a good truck? I've already test driven it, and looked into the trade in value of my civic. I'd just like some consumer reviews of other Ridgeline owners?I have two dogs, and will be getting a horse someday. My bf is getting a truck with towing capabilities, but the dealer said it's able to tow a horse trailer and hay. =) I live an active lifestyle. I love roadtrips. Is it a gas guzzler just like any truck or because it's a Honda is the gas mileage reasonable?

Generally... its a good investment, although if you have real towing needs like a monster boat, or thousands of lbs. worth of plywood, try getting a real truck like the Tundra, Silverado or something like that... if you are a recreational user, or just need something for the winter snow, go ahead... the Ridgeline is a fine choice.

Cars are never good investments. The Ridgeline is nothing more than a car with a bed on it. If you just want something that looks like a truck but rides like a car and gets car like mileage its what you want. It won't tow a horse trailer unless its empty. I think it's rated at around 5k lbs. Since you have access to a real truck this would probably be just fine.

I drive a Ridgeline and have been pleased with it since the day we got it. The interior is roomy and the handling is superb, particularly compared to what some would call a "real truck". We have used the truck in all types of weather and it handles great in the snow. As far as gas mileage goes the vehicle is about average for a truck at about 18-22 mpg. The engine is the same as used in the Pilot and Odyssey and like all Hondas, it holds up very well and has a good reputation for durability. You'll also love the dual tailgate as it is nice to be able to swing it out of the way when accessing the bed (used it repeatedly this summer to haul loads of bricks). And, don't forget that there is the in-bed trunk which is also very useful. The truck won't haul a HUGE boat or a 5th wheel trailer but realistically, how frequently do most "real truck" owners use this power for? The Ridge has more than adequate abilities for most truck owners on the road today. Oh, and we take ours on roadtrips all the time.

Hi!!! I sell Hondas and the Ridgeline is a very good vehicle. My parents just bought one and they love it!!! It is better on gas than other trucks. Also the saftey is very good along with a 4 wheel drive system that detects when you need it. That way you dont have to put it into 4wd yourself. Also the trunk in the bed of the truck is a great thing for when you travel and so on. The trunk is also a cooler. You can fill it will ice and what you need and it also has a drain plug at the bottom. When it comes to towing the truck will handle it just fine. The RTX comes standard with everything you need including the tow package. Also check to see if there are any special dealer cash incentives when you decide to purchase. You can find these at KellyBlueBook.com You should then subtract this amount from invoice. Also another weay to get a GREAT deal is to go to HondaCars.com and send a quote out to all the dealers in your area. They will all fight with great prices to earn your business. Good luck and trust me all Hondas are very reliable and they hold there value very well because of that!!!!
