I had a new key made and the new key wont fit either.

The switch might be worn

HAHA UR OWNED! the key probably doesn't like you so it twisted itself!

Try your own car LOL........Was your old key worn? sometimes the key wears out and needs to be recut, if you had a new key made off the old worn key it probably wont work either. I would talk to a lock smith and he will be able to make adjustments to the worn key to make sure it works.....If not maybe the tumbler inside is broken. Its actually a pretty easy fix at a dealership depending on the car. Good Luck

hahaha, i dont know why but this question really mad me laugh!!!!well is it an old ignition barrel? cause believe it or not if you have lots of keys on your key ring it can cause damage to the ignition barrel!!, go to the garage and ask them to fix the ignition barrel, the same thing happened to me!!!!i cant remember if it was expensive but it was very quick and the key went in smooth as the day the car was born when it was all done!!good luck!

Assuming the original key's "blade" (the part that goes into the lock) has sharp enough "keyways" (locksmithing term for the angles and grooves on the edges and sides of a key), it takes a patient expert to use the correct blank/new key and then align both correctly when "milling" the new key. Even if the "keyways" are worn, a good locksmith can usually make an adjustment. But, if the wrong blank key was used, or the automatic grinder wasn't good, or the "smith" was careless, then the new key won't work. Most retailers guarantee their keys and work, so, just bring the original and new one back to the shop, and have it re-done (an additional grinding may be all that's needed).
