Yes it will hurt the motor why you ask well the rev limiter is removed from computer meaning motor will go much higher in rpms. Also fuel economy is out the door. For daily driving your ok but if you want to race everyone coming and going your more will throw a rod.The internal block isnt desiged to handle it.thats why you would be wise to sleeve the block and upgrade the pistons and rods. Also the valve springs and retainers.Cams would hurt to be replaced. Then you would have a great al motor set up.Trust me for 35 bucks your may get a few extra ponies but it may cost you in the long run.Build up the motor first the go with a hondata system they will help you figure out what you want to do with the car and set up a compter for it so you will be happy.Speed cost trust me even in a honda. If you go cheap you will end up costing you more in the long run.I know this because I habe a h22a in a civic that had a flashed chip computer in it and now it has a hole in the block. Build it first then chip it the right way.
