Default How do I turn off my daytime running lights on my 2007 Honda Civic EX?

I bought Halo's for my car and I'm not even sure how to hook them up if anyone has an answer for that as well. My concern is I dont want my day time lights to be on after I get my Halos put in...Any Good answers out there? I've looked for diagrams online but haven't found any for my car. So if any one has a link to a diagram that would be great! Thanks

Get the dealer to go into the programming and turn them off, other than that you will have to install a sub switch.

You need to put it on a toggleOr you could give your e-brake a light tap 1 click and they go off.

Really not sure about your Halo lights, but your day light running lights are a safety feature. I believe it is a Federal law that the manufactures had to install them. If day light running lamps disconnected possible ticket. You would need to check local and state laws for that. Also about your lighting go to your local Honda parts department and buy a repair Manuel, comes complete with wiring diagrams.

I sold Hondas for 6 years and you cant turn them off. I would call the service department and ask them if it is possible that you can get them wired to a switch or just turned off. Good luck

Default Re: How do I turn off my daytime running lights on my 2007 Honda Civic EX?

Guys, I joined this forum just to reply to this thread! There are NO laws in the US regarding DRLs. Manufacturers have begun to make them standard simply because it's cheaper to import one model for both US and Canada (where they ARE required).

I disabled my wife's 2006 Civic LX DRLs by pulling the fuse. You can find the exact fuse location in your owner's manual. That's it, no warning lights, headlights simply work as designed (on at night, off during the day).
