AEM's V2 is the best bet on the market insofar as it delivers the highest output for a CAI system. Their design generates resonance tuning that increases the pressure at the intake valves...a mild supercharge. The V2 in this sense is unique from any other CAI including COMPTECH, INJEN, et al. Not sure about adapting the bypass valve to this model. Cutting the pipe might well alter the system's performance properties...wouldn't do a custom adaptation unless the manufacturer's specs call for it. Also, this accessory is only significant if you live in areas where you're likely to forge some very deeply flooded roads.CAI systems are efficient because they suck cooler air from outside the engine compartment. The air surrounding the engine is heated by convection & thus less dense with oxygen. It's not enough to simply wrap the intake ducts if the intake is still injesting (warmer) air from within the engine compartment.

You have no idea what you're talking about. First off, I have had both japanese cars and and domestic. I've been able to make the comparison. I owned a toyota supra, and yes, it was quite fast, and it handled pretty good, but who cares about handling? You're in a country where the roads are pretty much straight (maybe a few exceptions). These roads were built for big american muscle cars with big block V8s. Sure you can out handle me, but lets face it, where do you plan on doing that? Japan? Your econobox is a joke, just stop trying. You're arguing with a guy who's been around all kinds of cars for years, I went to automotive school, and what about you? You're some little punk ass kid who thinks his four cylinder can rape an 8 with mods to both the engine AND suspension (it's actually funny because I'm almost certain I COULD out handle you). Get off yahoo answers. Come back when you have a car that doesn't suck.
