Default Whats the difference between a 92 honda prelude 2.2 S and a 92 honda prelude 2.3 SI/SE?

I have a 92 honda prelude 5 speed manual but i'm not sure if its an s or si and I don't really know the difference.

the S comes with an f22 sohc motor. si is a h23 dohc. the code is stamped on the front of the block, near the transmission (look left of the exhaust manifold)

On a Honda prelude si it has an engine code of H23A1On the SE model it has and engine code H23A2. On the Honda prelude that has DOHC VTEC on the top of the motor it has the H22A1 which came out in 1993 on the US version of the prelude. Some preludes where equipped with four wheel steering or FWS for short. In a nut shell it means you can travel better in curves because all four wheels turn as you turn the wheel. That's the basic principle of it without getting to technical. To find out which engine your car has lift the hood and look to the left of the header near the transmission there is a flat area about the size of a 50 cent piece and it will tell you the engine code.It may be a tad greasy there just wipe it off with a rag and you should see it.More then likely it will say H23A1.That would mean you have a prelude si.Now the F22A1 is in the type S model of the 92-95 prelude. So here is a spec run down of the models from 92-95 USDM meaning United States Domestic Market Honda Prelude92-95 Prelude SI - H23A1 Horse Power 160@5800 Torque156@4500 93-96 Prelude VTEC -H22A1 Horse Power190@6800 Torque158@5500 92-96 Prelude SI 4WS -H23A1 Horse Power 160@5800 Torque156@4500 92-96 Prelude SE -H23A2 Horse Power 160@5800 Torque156@4500 92-96 Prelude S-F22A1Horse Power 135@5200 Torque142@4500 Hope this helps you out.
