In the wiring, there is a trigger at some point during your brake pedals motion towards the floor. The trigger may not be activated until half way pushed in. Or perhaps its faulty and just not registering properly. Its for you to decide. Try pushing it in slowly and seeing if it comes on at a certain point every time. If so, its ok. If not, you need to have it checked out.

its the breaklight switch, the time you pressed the pedal its not still in contact until halfway. or its up to the setting before, all you have to do is just rotate the switch until to your desired height or setting. you can see the switch under the dashboard, of course! or above the pedal, of course you must lay down the carpet or the flooring. just rotate and see if you already got it right.
