After spending $150 bucks for a battery change and alternator it started right up...i was going to try to sell it, but it seems pretty peppy and fun to drive, the ac works, it has power everything/ auto trans.Im thinking im going to keep it.Anybody have anything to say about these things? In my area cars with similar milage seem to be selling for 1500-2500By the way, it came with service history as thick as a phone book, two water pumps, two timing belts, etc. etc. etc.Oh, the car looks like new, too

I would keep it if I were you. The difficulty involved in selling the car would be more trouble than it's worth, especially if you like the car and have recently put money into it. Besides, you'll never get the amount of money that it's worth with the economy going like it is. (I'm selling my Chrysler New Yorker that is worth well over $2-3,000 for $1500 just to get it out of the driveway, having bought my new car in March of this year.)Honda reliability is legendary, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this car tick well past 200,000 miles. Best of luck with your inheritance, and remember to smile every time you drive past a gas station without filling up because you're driving a fuel efficient little Honda
And seeing your revisions, at least you know where it's coming from and you don't feel like you're driving a junky, older car. However, both looking new and having a complete service record will definitely help you sell the car, should you decide to go that route.Take care. |

You know everything that's ever been done to it (if the history is so thick!), it seems maintenance-free so far, and in good condition? Good luck finding a used car like that! If it starts nickel-and-diming you (replacement this, replacement that, needs this, needs that), that's the time to trade it in on a newer model. For now, it seems a good car.Keep it.

Car payments suck, then after you pay for the car it starts to nickel and dime you - be happy you got past the monthly payments. Drive it spending only what safety calls for and then walk away when something major/expensive goes. You won't be any worse off than the day before you inherited the Honda. Save your real money for your RX-8.

Yeah save money for the RX8 and then when one of those rotors goes out then that's when hell breaks loose.

I too have Accord 90 and it is going well. I'm having this car because i can not spend much for higher models. other wise i woud'nt like to ride on golden junk to go to haven. i said junk because every thing has life time. You can not drive old cars safely on highways. you must buy higher model according to your pocket.
